How would you describe Eventus Recruitment in 3 words?

Ethical, Quality and Fun.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Eventus?

I love the fact that this feels like my own little kingdom / business. Within reason I am given the autonomy to make my own decisions but at the same time I have the backing of Eventus Group as a whole. I like that I work with people that I continuously learn from, people that I really respect and people that I really like. I feel this is one of the most collaborative environments I have ever worked in.

How do you unwind after work?

Taking a walk with my family. For me it marks the end of the working day, and physically and mentally helps me switch off from the day.

What do you like to do outside of work?

My family are my world so spending time with them is a large part of my life outside work. I am a real home bird. So, I enjoy just being at home and doing ‘housey’ things – cooking etc!! I am also a big walker!

Top tip that you would give to a professional who is looking for a new career opportunity?

Keep in your head at all times when at interviews that this is a completely equal meeting – it’s as much about whether I want them as it is if they want me!! You are also interviewing the company.

Top tip that you would give to a business to ensure a robust recruitment strategy?

Involve several different people at interview stage and don’t make decisions based on one person’s opinion, perspective.
